For 11 years I have had the honor and distinction of representing you in the Congress- from Albany, Berkeley, Cherryland, Emeryville, Fairview, Oakland, Piedmont, Ashland, and Castro Valley. As your Member of Congress for the last 11 years, I have had the opportunity to advocate and fight for the progressive political views of our community. Advancing our progressive politics has allowed me to stand on principle- and we're marching on to regain our civil rights, to end this war and to advance the cause of social and economic justice. Advancing our progressive politics has allowed me to give voice to the will of our district- a community at the forefront of vision and politics in our nation.
